Chef takeovers are back and this August we are thrilled to welcome the amazing Suzie Bakos, aka The Little Sauce, to host an exclusive 6 course tasting menu in our cabana.

Suzie Bakos is an Iraqi-born, London-raised chef whose rich heritage lies at the heart of her cooking. She blends traditional Iraqi recipes with British produce, creating dishes that celebrate culture, connection, and bold flavours. Expect lots of spice and her fun personality at The Little Sauce pop-ups. 

This is your chance to dive into a delicious and unique Middle Eastern-inspired BBQ menu, all while soaking up the summer vibes on the South Bank. Take a peek at her menu:

Labneh and manakish za’atar

A thick, creamy labneh and confit garlic served alongside a flatbread topped with za’atar and olive oil

Aubergine and harissa chickpeas

Barbecued aubergine with harissa and tomato chickpeas & a tahini, yoghurt and garlic sauce. Finished with micro chives.

Molasses ribs

Succulent lamb ribs in a sticky pomegranate molasses glaze with fattoush salad and fried pita bread

Makanek sausage

Spiced beef and lamb sausage with zhug, esme salad and crunchy fried shallots

Chicken skewers

Juicy chicken thigh skewers in a preserved lemon, thyme and garlic marinade served with charred spring onion, spiced potatoes and cress

Kunafe

Sweet, soft cheese, kataifi and syrup with pistachio and rose
